On March 27, Mr. Cheng Chenguang, CEO of Windey Energy Technology Group, led a delegation to pay courtesy visits to H.E. Pham Thanh Binh, Ambassador of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam to China, and H.E. Abdelkader El Ansari, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Morocco to China, respectively. The visits included in-depth discussions on energy transition and international renewable energy cooperation.

Vietnam: Deepening Localization and Expanding Diversified Cooperation

Ambassador Pham Thanh Binh expressed high appreciation for Windey’s achievements and its localization practices in Vietnam. He emphasized that China is Vietnam’s largest trading partner and that bilateral relations are thriving. With Vietnam pursuing ambitious economic development goals toward 2030, the ambassador stressed the urgent need to accelerate new energy development as a priority safeguard. He welcomed Windey’s long-term investment and strategic presence in Vietnam to combine China’s advanced technologies, innovative concepts, and supply chain strengths with Vietnam’s local industries and market potential.

Mr. Cheng Chenguang said that Windey was one of the earliest Chinese new energy enterprises to enter the Vietnamese market. As a leading Chinese wind turbine manufacturer, Windey has rapidly expanded its presence in Vietnam’s onshore and offshore wind sectors and now ranks among the country’s top three wind turbine suppliers. The company has established deep roots in Vietnam, formed a Vietnam-based team, and provided full life-cycle operation and maintenance services, fostering strong ties with local governments, businesses, and communities. He emphasized that in response to Vietnam’s Eighth Power Development Plan, Windey’s energy storage team is actively expanding operations in the country. Moving forward, the company will further leverage its technological and resource advantages to deepen its localization strategy, enhancing investments and technical collaborations in wind power, energy storage, green hydrogen, ammonia and methanol, direct green electricity connections, and AIDC green energy solutions, supporting Vietnam’s green energy infrastructure.

Morocco: Targeting a Regional Hub and Jointly Exploring the Blue Ocean of North Africa’s Green Energy

Ambassador Ansari said that Morocco is short on oil and gas but rich in wind and solar resources, making renewable energy development both a national policy and a necessary path to energy security. After years of effort, Morocco has achieved nearly 50% renewable energy consumption, positioning the country as a leader in Africa in renewable energy. With ongoing socio-economic growth, Morocco will continue advancing renewable energy projects in solar, wind, green hydrogen, and other areas while actively collaborating with international partners. He spoke highly of China’s technological and industrial leadership in the renewable energy sector and welcomed leading enterprises like Windey to invest in Morocco.

Mr. Cheng Chenguang said that Windey has become one of China’s leading new energy enterprises, with businesses spanning wind power, energy storage, new energy power stations, green hydrogen, ammonia and methanol, zero-carbon parks, and green AIDC. The company actively responds to the Belt and Road Initiative, with an overseas footprint covering major global markets. He pointed out that Morocco boasts unique geographical location, abundant wind and solar resources, and a business-friendly environment, earning high acclaim among Chinese enterprises. Windey is willing to deepen cooperation with the Moroccan government, enterprises, and research institutions to jointly explore new opportunities for China-Morocco renewable energy collaboration.

Representatives from the Vietnamese Embassy in China, the Moroccan Embassy in China, and Windey International attended the meetings also.
