Recently, Windey Energy Technology Group held the official inauguration ceremony for its Camaçari Energy Storage Factory in Bahia, Brazil. The event was attended by Jerônimo Rodrigues, Governor of Bahia; Sun Zhejun, Party Secretary and Chairman of Zhejiang Machinery and Electrical Group; and Chen Qi, Party Secretary and Chairman of Windey Energy Technology Group, who together witnessed the launch of Windey's first overseas energy storage manufacturing base.
As Windey's first battery energy storage system (BESS) factory established overseas, the Camaçari Energy Storage Factory is located in the Camaçari Industrial Park in Bahia, Brazil, with an annual designed production capacity of 1.5 GWh. The factory is primarily engaged in the assembly, integration, testing, and commissioning of energy storage systems. Once operational, it will further enhance Windey's localized manufacturing and service capabilities in the Brazilian and Latin American markets, providing more efficient and reliable energy storage products and integrated energy solutions for the regional renewable energy market.

In recent years, Windey has consistently expanded its market presence in Brazil and accelerated its international expansion. In 2025, the company signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with SENAI CIMATEC in Brazil to conduct in-depth cooperation in areas such as technological innovation, localized manufacturing, and renewable energy industry development. That same year, Windey inaugurated its Brazil Renewable Energy R&D Center and established its Brazil National Office, continuously refining its local operations. The opening of this energy storage factory marks the company's achievement of a full-chain presence in Brazil, spanning from technology R&D and market operations to production and manufacturing, thereby further solidifying the foundation for its deep engagement in the Latin American market.
As the global green and low-carbon energy transition continues to advance, energy storage is poised to play a critical role in building next-generation power systems, unlocking vast opportunities. Windey actively responds to the opportunities presented by the global renewable energy industry. Leveraging its technological advantages and industrial experience in the fields of wind power, energy storage, and integrated energy, the company continues to improve its overseas industrial layout, enhances its global resource allocation and integrated service capabilities, and promote coordinated development of the renewable energy industry chain.
In the future, Windey will take the inauguration of the Camaçari Energy Storage Factory as a new starting point, adhering to an innovation-driven and localized development strategy. It will deepen exchanges and collaboration with partners in Brazil and Latin America, accelerate the implementation of wind-storage synergy and integrated energy projects, and continuously raise its international operation level and core competitiveness. In doing so, Windey aims to contribute even greater strength to Sino-Brazilian energy cooperation and the global green and low-carbon transition.
The ceremony was also attended by Luiz Caetano, Mayor of Camaçari; Rui Costa, Former Chief of Staff of the Presidency of Brazil; Ricardo Alban, President of the National Confederation of Industry (CNI) of Brazil; Marcus Vlasits, President of the Brazilian Association of Energy Storage Solutions (ABSAE); Carlos Henrique Passos, President of the Federation of Industries of the State of Bahia (FIEB); and heads of the Strategic Investment and Development Department of Zhejiang Machinery and Electrical Group and Windey International.
